FOR WHAT IS OUR FUNCTION?
A multimedia performance involving silk prints, bisqued porcelain platters, and a mixture of blackberries and red wine. The final result, amaranth-stained porcelain and silk. If the porcelain is ever fired past its bisque phase, the stains will disappear. In this performance, the interaction and flow between organic materials and sustenance is explored. The concept of impermanence lingers, as the second firing of porcelain is in limbo.
